A spotlight on some of our favorite founders and friends
Meet Mallory
Mallory is a fashion consultant and the Creative Director of Cake For Dinner, an Atlanta-based fashion brand. She has always been passionate about helping small brands grow and successfully launch their fashion lines.
A note from our co-founder, Lauren Neal:
Mallory and I have been best friends since our freshman year at the Savannah College of Art and Design where we both studied fashion design. We were instantly best friends and almost never could sit next to each other in classes because we would laugh too much! From college roommates to standing as mad of honor in her wedding, I have watched Mallory become such an inspiring and absolutely amazing woman. I've learned so much about the industry from Mallory and having the opportunity to design the Mallory dress with her was too much fun - it felt like we were back in fashion school again! Mallory is the best friend a girl could ask for, and I hope you all love the dress inspired by her!
Cake for Dinner
In 2020, Mallory met Chambless Kalka and they teamed up to found the brand Cake for Dinner in 2021. Their goal is to help young women feel confident and stylish, and they truly believe that the right outfits allow individuals to truly express themselves. As a women-owned business, they're inspired by Chambless's daughters and the amazing women they're surrounded by. They focus on designing timeless collections that celebrate the uniqueness of young women and their journey into adulthood.
Red Cabana Stripe Captain Shirt
My favorite LC set is the red cabana stripe Captain shirt and shorts! Red is my all-time favorite color and those bold red stripes are just perfect for summer - it gives off such a fun beachy vibe! I practically live in this set all season long.
The Mallory Dress
I can't forget about my top favorite style, the Mallory dress! I had the amazing opportunity to help LC design it, and my best friend Lauren named it after me. I get a little emotional just thinking about it because it means so much to me! Besides the sentimental value, it's such a stunning dress. It's comfy and has the perfect balance of being dressy yet casual. Lady Captain truly has a talent for creating casual-cool pieces for women!
